Another Weekend and ART to enjoy.

And we are off to Narragansett
Heirloom Charlie, recycled, UPcycled tractor, on his way to Narragansett. Gordy is on his canvas, waiting to fly over for the weekend.

107 Vendor spots to be filled with visual pleasures for your eyes! 31st Annual Narragansett Art Festival.  Yes that reads Art, not arts and/or crafts fair. That means you see new and different items if you are a frequent weekend show goer!

Heirloom Charlie, just couldn’t resist- he left today for he is riding his tractor down!  The rest of us will be there and ready bright and early Saturday (and Sunday)  morning!

Free Admission…. June 22 and 23 — 9 am to 5 pm
Veterans Memorial Park – that would be right next to the Historic Towers and the water! All in lovely Narragansett R.I.

In case you get hungry, 2 invited Food trucks, and tons of good eats all over Narragansett.

We will be there with our “goods” – art prints, Mini Arts, i.e. cards, Handmade lacquered boxes and  trays and a few Beauties on mugs. Come on down and join the visual feast.

How you can have fun this Saturday!

38th Annual Hopkinton
Polyarts Festival

Saturday, September 15, 2012
Hopkinton Town Common
10:00 am – 4:00 pm

You can come on over, up or down, and join us in Hopkinton this Saturday. It is suppose to be another stellar sunny weather day, and with over 75 fabulous vendors it promises you a GREAT day! Last year we attended and shopped- because we  had such a great time this year we are proud to be an artisan vendor!

Hopkinton Polyarts

Polyarts began in 1974 as a demonstration of various arts and crafts to showcase the talents of the local community. Since then it has grown into a day long event with many professional craftspeople, performing artists and community groups participating throughout the day. Polyarts is free to attend and is a family-friendly day with something for everyone, be it food, music, crafts or other entertainment.

The Polyarts committee is very excited to offer a $1000.00 scholarship to two deserving Hopkinton high school students. This scholarship is offered to students who will be pursuing the arts (art, dance, photography, creative writing, music, drama, etc).

Fun Food Friday and Festival Foods

When I Google Festival Foods it is an interesting array of items that appear! Garlic Festivals, Japanese, Indian, Chinese, New Orleans Jazz, Renaissance, and that’s only the tip of the iceberg.  Everyone has Food Festivals. This weekend, Saturday Sept 3rd:10-5 to be exact, we, The Botanical Beauties & Beasties and myself, will be showing at Festival Fete in East Greenwich RI. There will be lots of ART, and lots of yummies for your eyes and your bellies. The list of food folks includes some healthier choices for often thought of very un-healthy foods. Cut out the animal fats and food is less likely to stick to your heart valves! Saturday you can taste Vegan delights from my friends at  Dirty Vegan Foods (I can vouch for these treats, you will not miss any taste sensations here.) You can have vegan ice-cream at Like No Udder! Sweet Apples, cookies, and more all await your sweet tooth (or teeth!). The wonderful folks from Whole Foods: Garden City will be there as well, therefore you can be sure that you can eat a wholesome delicious nutritious lunch if you would like too! As a matter of fact they are one of the sponsors – they are putting on a Farmers Market! How great is that!

LOCALLY GROWN ART, FOOD AND MERRIMENT – All will be there for your enjoyment. Grab your cloth bag, wear a big smile, and come on down if you can. Support your local growers, restaurants, entertainment, and of course- support  and  your local artist!
